Michael Goldberg has extensive trial experience in complex commercial, governmental and international arbitration matters. He is Co-Chair of the Firm’s International Dispute Resolution Practice. His practice includes both investor-state and commercial disputes in a broad-based array of subjects. Recent representative matters include claims in excess of $100 billion before arbitral panels and national courts around the world.
Mr. Goldberg’s experience extends to a broad array of international matters involving clients, adversaries and/or issues in Angola, Armenia, Brazil, Canada, China, Ecuador, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Peru, Russia, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Venezuela and Yemen. He has had direct interaction with Presidents, Prime Ministers, and top leadership of several countries.
Mr. Goldberg has been a frequent commentator in publications and a frequent presenter at conferences. Besides his active practice as counsel, he also serves as an arbitrator and teaches International Arbitration at the University of Texas School of Law.
